fast breakfast mix


  • 3 cups of any iron fortified whole grain cereal (Cheerios, Wheaties, Chex, Kix, life, shredded wheat, etc.)
  • 1 cup dried fruit (raisins, banana, cranberries, mango, pineapple, apricot, etc.)
  • 1/2 cup of nuts or seeds (peanuts, sunflower seeds, cashews, etc.)


  • Medium sized bowl
  • 1 cup dry measuring cup
  • 4 plastic baggies
  • Spoon


  1. Wash hands thoroughly
  2. Put cereal, dried fruit and nuts in a medium sized bowl.
  3. Gently mix ingredients.
  4. Put mixture in plastic bags.
  5. Enjoy with a glass of 100% juice or low-fat milk!
