chocolate chip oatmenal raisin cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. + 3 T sugar
  • 1/4 c. + 3 T flour
  • 1 T. margarine
  • 1/8 t. baking soda
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 t. cinnamon
  • 1 T. milk
  • dash nutmeg
  • 1/4 applesauce
  • dash salt
  • 2/3 c. oats
  • 1/4 c. raisins or other dried fruit
  • 1/4 c. chocolate chips

Materials

  • Medium bowl
  • Small bowl
  • Wooden spoon
  • Spatula
  • Cooking spray
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • Cookie sheet

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease baking sheet.
  2. Measure sugar and margarine into medium bowl and blend well.
  3. Add egg to sugar mixture and blend.
  4. Add milk and applesauce and blend.
  5. In small mixing bowl combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  6. Combine sugar and flour mixtures.
  7. Add rolled oats and fruits and chips to batter.
  8. Drop dough by 12 rounded teaspoons onto baking sheet.
  9. Bake 10 to 13 minutes until lightly browned.
  10. Remove sheet from oven. Cool for 3 minutes.
  11. With spatula remove cookies and place on cooling rack. Enjoy.
